Willow Volunteer FAQ
Thanks so much for helping with this exciting installation!
Where should we meet?
In front of the Merrill-Cazier Library. You’ll see the sculpture in progress and you will need to sign a liability waiver, which will be at the check-in table.
When should I be there?
At least ten minutes before your scheduled shift. You are expected to stay for the full 4-hour shift. Please let Ashley Tolman know immediately if you unable to come or stay for your entire shift. email@example.com
Where can I park?
We suggest taking the bus for a green option. You can find the CVTD bus routes here. You can also park on Aggie Terrace or the Big Blue lot or purchase day passes from USU Parking and transportation. Visitor parking information can be found here.
What should I wear?
Long sleeved shirt, long pants, boots or shoes that can get dirty, sunscreen, hat.
What else should I bring?
Your own gardening gloves if you wish (we will also have them available), water bottle, snacks, and a can-do attitude!
Do I need to know anything else about this before I show up?
Training and instruction will be provided to all volunteers when you check in.
What will the sculpture look like?
Check out the exhibition of Patrick Dougherty’s past work in the Merrill-Cazier Library (on exhibit until November 15), or take a look at his website: www.stickwork.net. We won’t know what the USU sculpture will look like until he gets here.
