    Students can apply now for their BS Portfolio Review. The application deadline is midnight on October 16, 2017.

    Twelve (12) digital images (no larger than 1080x1080 or 1080x720 @72dpi) of artwork created with the last year, as follows:

     

    • Drawing I: Three (3) drawings that you feel represent your best work from the class
    • 2-D Design: Three (3) assignments that you feel represent your best work from the class
    • 3-D Design: Three (3) assignments that you feel represent your best work from the class
    • Applicants Choice: Three (3) additional works that you feel best show your artistic and conceptual abilities (these may be 2D, 3D, interactive, time-based, or site-specific artworks)

    List of Works with all of the following information for all 12 images:

    • course for which the work was made (if applicable)
    • course instructor's name
    • title of the assignment
    • medium
    • size
    • brief (1-2 sentence) description of the assignment, or describe the artistic challenge presented in the work and your solution

    Transcript:

     

    An UNOFFICIAL transcript with first semester and mid-term grades for the second semester showing you are on-track to earn a minimum of a C in all required foundations courses and a minimum 2.75 GPA in all your classes.

    To submit:

    Please combine your portfolio, list of works and transcript into a single .pdf file and name it with your last name and first name as follows: lastname.firstname.pdf.

    For transfer students who HAVE completed ALL (3) foundations studio courses (ie, Drawing I, 2-D, and 3-D) at another institution, please refer to the Portfolio Requirements tab above.

     

    For those transfer students who have NOT completed/not enrolled in the foundations studio courses (Drawing I, 2-D Design, 3-D Design), your portfolio will consist of ten digital images (no larger than 1080x1080 or 1080x720 @72dpi) of artwork created in the last 3 years. At least TWO (2)  of these images MUST be representative of your ability to draw from life.  These 2 drawings need to be produced from actual/direct observation (no photo references) of a subject; set up a still life, draw from a figure or an interior space.

    UNOFFICIAL transcript of your grades with your cumulative GPA clearly identified. (print from Banner)

    To submit:

    Making a PDF

    Here are the steps to save multiple images in Preview into a single multi-page PDF.

    1. Select all of the images you want in your PDF, right-click and choose open with Preview

    2. In Preview's Sidebar drag the images into the order you want them to appear in your PDF

    3. Select/highlight all the images to be included in the PDF document; otherwise only a singleimage may end up the PDF document

    4. Then from the "File" menu choose "Print Selected Images" (or "Print..." in recent OS X versions) and then "PDF > Save as PDF"

    Collecting Unofficial Transcripts
    1. Log onto USU Access (Banner)
    2. Select the "Student" tab
    3. Click on "Student Records"
    4. Select "View Transcript"
    5. Select "Unofficial" and Submit
    6. Once it is displayed, right click and select print
    7. Change the destination to "Save as PDF" and select save and name the file as lastname.firstname
