Notice: Graphic Design BFA Candidates

All students desiring acceptance into the Graphic Design BFA program must be accepted into the program by faculty review. Your options are: pass, fail or one semester probation (for extenuating circumstances).

ATTENTION: New Process

1) Complete a Graphic Design BFA application. Applications are available in the Art Office or can be downloaded. Read the application form carefully to make sure you qualify (have completed or are enrolled in the necessary classes). Return the application along with an unofficial copy of your transcripts (available online) to the Art Office by October 22.

2) Deliver and set up your artwork in FAV 213D between 9-9:30 a.m. on Friday, October 23. It is your responsibility to set up your artwork along with a label that includes your name and photo (headshot is fine). Your artwork will be reviewed by the faculty between 10:00 and noon. Tables will be provided. Retrieve your artwork between 2-2:30 p.m. that same day. If you cannot deliver nor retrieve your artwork, please arrange for someone else to do so. NOTE: The artwork you deliver for review must be your best and must be representative of the classes required to apply for the BFA review. If 3D, you may bring photographs or the work itself. Work from Art 2400 Computers and Art and Art 3400 Typography will be given strongest scrutiny.

3) A list of candidates accepted will be available in the art office by 2:00 p.m. on the day of the review.
