Born in Corvallis, Oregon in 1943, Karen Carson received her bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon, Eugene, and her Master of Fine Arts degree at the University of California-Los Angeles. She has exhibited at the Rosamund Felson Gallery in Los Angeles for many years, including 1979-82, 1984-85, 1987-92, 1994 and 1995. Among the group exhibitions she has participated in are Selections from the Robert A. Rowan Trust Collection, at the Williamson Gallery, the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and Love in the Ruins: Art and the Inspiration of L.A., at the Long Beach Museum of Art. Carson will be lecturing at the Caines School of the Arts on her work and artistic statement.
